Deathwish are proud to welcome Code Orange Kids to our affiliated family.
Fresh out of high school and with an average age of 18 years old, Pennsylvania’s Code Orange Kids remind us off our own embryonic days in the aggressive music scene. They do things their way, creatively cutting their own path through it all. Unconcerned with the direction of other artists, their brand of gritty hardcore/punk is simply refreshing to hear. Merging cryptic melody, dirty hardcore power, and intense dirges into their own uniquely inspired sound.
Code Orange Kids recently released their fantastic Cycles 7”EP on the Mayfly label. Check out Cycles from the 7” EP here. They also have a split 7” EP with Full of Hell surfacing soon on Top Shelf label. You can find all available Code Orange Kids releases and new apparel in the Deathwish Estore now.
Soon, Code Orange Kids will enter the studio to record their debut album, due out on Deathwish in 2012.

Official Press Release:
In December, Woods of Ypres frontman David Gold lost his life in a terrible accident just outside Barrie, ON, Canada. Unfortunately, David was unable to see the release of Woods 5: Grey Skies and Electric Light, which was to be the band’s first effort since signing with the mighty Earache. Woods 5 is now scheduled for an April 10 release.
Now, fans have a chance to hear their first real taste of what Woods 5 had to offer as Kiss My Ashes Goodbye (Part I) is being streamed exclusively via Hails & Horns. The song is an epic, chilling journey that should remind the metal community just what an incredible writer and performed David Gold was. Official Press Release:
Bridge Nine newcomers and Midwest Hardcore’s finest, Expire, are excited to begin recording their debut full-length for the label on January 30th, 2012. Also at the helm will be Jay Maas of Getaway Recordings, as he will be handling the mixing and mastering aspects of the album. This record is sure to be one of the heaviest exports from the Midwest this year, and Expire guitarist Zach Dear commented, "I know it’s what every band is "supposed to say" about their newest records, but these are no question the best Expire songs to date. We’ve been working extremely hard and can only hope that people will be as siked as we are on the finished product.”
No strangers to the road, 2012 will see Expire touring, touring, touring and releasing their new album this coming Spring.
Relapse is extremely proud to announce the signing of Melbourne, Australia’s doom-dwellers Inverloch. Featuring 2/4 of the legendary diSEMBOWELMENT, Inverloch (Matthew Skarajew – guitars, Paul Mazziotta – drums, Ben James – vocals, Mark Cullen – guitars, Tony Bryant – bass) pick right up where diSEMBOWELMENT left off close to two decades ago, composing crawling, lurching, plodding and downtuned dirges, that are sure to be some of the most powerful and beautiful pieces of crust/death/doom heard in years!
The band has completed recording their debut mini-LP, which is set for a Spring 2012 release on via Relapse. More details on this release will be announced shortly.
Additionally the band has been invited to play a pair of rare festival performances this Spring, performing for a limited time under the name d.USK. They will be presenting diSEMBOWELMENT's legendary funeral doom opus, Transcendence Into the Peripheral live in its entirety at Roadburn in the Netherlands and offering a different, though equally devastating set at the legendary Hellfest in France.
Drummer Paul Mazziotta commented on the new project:
"It has been a pleasure to bring the old diSEMBOWELMENT songs to life, and along the journey we have discovered some new music inside of us that we felt compelled to capture. Inverloch is our musical voice of the past, re-discovered…combining heaviness and ambience once more…”

We very unfortunately have to announce that our friend and guitar player Casey Hjelmberg has decided to leave Comeback Kid. The split is completely amicable and we’re thankful to have spent as much time with him over the past few years as we have. He let us know early last year that it was time to move on with his life, and we’re sorry to see him go.
Casey has been in Comeback Kid since our original vocalist Scott left in 2006 and Andrew took over vocal duties. He has been a true friend to us all and huge part of why we’ve been able to keep at this for as long as we have. We wish him all the luck in the world and we’re sure he’ll be just fine. In the meantime, our friend Stu Ross will be filling in on guitar. Stu has been on tour with us a bunch with both Misery Signals and Living With Lions. We’re not going to miss a step and we look forward to seeing everyone on tour in 2012.
Our sincere thanks and love go out to Casey. We can’t wait for the year to come and we hope everyone is as excited as we are.
